Maple Madness in New Hampshire’s White Mountains

A Sappy Spring Getaway at The Glen House, Now Though April 2022

Maple Syrup

In New England, the dramatic changing of the seasons from winter to spring is marked by Maple Season, when sugar maples are tapped to produce the amber-colored liquid that the region is famed for.

That’s why The Glen House, the award-winning 68-room hotel at the base of Mt. Washington, is heralding the coming of spring with a new Maple Madness Package. This seasonal sweetener of a deal includes a two-night stay, a map of local sugar houses, and a bottle of locally produced 100 Acre Sugar Shack maple syrup.

The package also includes a signature maple-themed “Whiskey Click” cocktail, a warming mix of craft whiskies and cold brew, laced with allspice and cardamom, and ideally enjoyed fireside in the hotel’s bar that was named “The Most Beautiful Bar in New Hampshire” by Architectural Digest. It features a stone fireplace and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on the snow-capped Presidential Range.

It’s the perfect reward for getting through winter and welcoming the first signs of spring in the White Mountains. The Glen House, which was ranked the No. 3 Hotel in New Hampshire in the 2022 Best Hotels Rankings by U.S. News & World Report, has cozy guest rooms with mountain views and a spectacular bar and lounge area. The lounge chairs surrounding the fire pit on the deck are perfect for relaxing at day’s end. The Notch Grille* offers breakfast and dinner service with a range of comfort food favorites. There’s also a fitness area and indoor pool.
